By this time I was working night shifts at a health foods factory just outside of Brisbane. My coworkers were always supportive and encouraging when I showed them my latest work consisting of butterflies, birds, and other animals - but their comments were always followed by “You should do cars!”
They quickly become one of my favourite things to paint. I love hearing the stories behind these commissions, especially when I get to paint an old first car or something like that. My first car was a 1992 Nissan Pulsar hatchback I bought for $700, I was so excited. It only lasted six months before it died, but you never forget your first car. Damn I need to paint that thing.
